If you've got a set of skinfold calipers, this gives you a more precise body fat estimate than a visual guess. Choose the 3-site method for a quick read, or the 7-site method for the most accurate estimate the Jackson-Pollock formulas can give. Take your measurements in millimetres at each site and enter them below.
Enter your caliper measurements (in millimetres) using the Jackson-Pollock skinfold method for a more precise body fat estimate than visual methods.
Pinch a fold of skin (not muscle) firmly with the caliper at each site and take the reading in millimetres. For the most consistent results, measure on the right side of the body and take each reading twice, using the average. The 7-site method takes a little longer but averages out measurement error across more of the body, so it's the more accurate of the two.
